Nederland real estate is among the most affordable in comparison to other mountain communities close to Boulder. Whether it's a small cabin in the low $200's or a $2 million luxury log home on acreage, both forms of Nederland real estate share the same spectacular mountain views.
Most of the Nederland homes in the downtown area were built in the 1900's, with homes from the 60's and 70's in the surrounding neighborhoods. If you're looking to build a new home in Nederland, there are a number of lots to choose from.
Although Nederland is just minutes from Boulder, residents find most everything they need right in town. Nederland has its own co-op grocery, restaurants and plenty of shops for daily essentials.
Residents are walking distance to an Olympic-sized outdoor ice/tennis park and skateboard park, and the Eldora ski area is only a short drive. World class hiking and rock climbing is available in the surrounding Indian Peaks and James Peak Wilderness areas. Many of the trailheads lead to heights over 12,000 feet above sea level where you can trek across a glacier and experience endless mountain views. Mountain bikers will love the miles of single track trails for all levels of riding.
Fishing is a popular local sport in the many streams, alpine lakes and reservoirs.
This close knit community loves to celebrate and is forever having some sort of event, including: NedFest (The Nederland Music & Arts Festival), Frozen Dead Guy Days (in honor of Grandpa Bredo), Neder-Nederland, a 5k and 10k race through town, and Miner's Day.

The young residents in the community are walking distance from either Nederland Elementary School or the combined Nederland Middle/Senior High School. Both schools pride themselves on small class sizes and personalized instruction for their students.
